I also have the converter and a duplex module is used. SFP+ works with duplex or simplex. With simplex, one glass strand is needed for the data flow in one direction and the other for the data flow in the other direction. With duplex, the data flow is in one glass strand in both directions. What do you want to use the converter for? Do you have duplex or simplex on the opposite side?
