Well, as far as I know, it simply needs a sufficiently powerful power supply unit that could also run the laptop directly. Look at the docking station to see how much power it needs, and that's what the power supply needs to deliver at least. The connections of the power supply units at Dell are standardised, except for the very new ones, whose connections have slightly smaller dimensions. I always have several power supply units for our notebooks so that I have a power supply unit everywhere at the various workstations....
Yes
It is, yes. Kindly refer to the manufacturer product number in the product details. But you can also tell it's the TB-variant by the 180W of power delivery capacity.
Hello apos. Unfortunately I can't really answer. Since I don't have the station in operation at the moment, I can't even try it out.... Does Dell itself not give any hints ?
I don't think that's possible because this Docking is made for new Dell Laptops with USB-C - Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. You can see the compatibility guide at the URL below: https://www.delltechnologies.com/resources/en-us/asset/data-sheets/products/electronics-accessories/dell_docking_compatibility_guide.pdf
On the laptop, the / one USB-C port is occupied by the cable that comes from the docking station. At the docking station, a cable goes out of the housing, i.e. directly from the "inside" and not with a cable that has to be plugged in on both sides... I hope I have explained it clearly... Greetings, Mika
Sorry, but I have no idea. I've only used it with a Dell laptop. I could imagine that it works, but with Mac you never know....
Caution! Tends not to work with a Mac. According to the instructions, this docking station is intended for selected DELL devices. In the DELL PC, the firmware had to be updated to the latest version. See https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/dell-wd19tb-dock_users-guide3_de-de.pdf
