Sorry, I can't answer this question because I only use my Plenue for classical music. And I don't want to hear a mix of different works. The Plenue allows you to work with folders. The different movements of a work are collected in folders and I can play all the movements stored in this folder without interruption in the order of the folder. Also a kind of playlist, but fixed.
Unfortunately, no, the battery is permanently installed.

It's true. The Cowon Plenue J does not have a loudspeaker. Such a speaker would probably not be much use in such a small device. The battery life would also be shortened by a speaker.
