Questions about CHERRY Dw 8000

The keyboard is sold as a set with a mouse, but you can only use the keyboard with the receiver supplied, without having to use the mouse in the set. You can therefore continue to use your current mouse if you wish, as long as it is compatible with your system. The USB receiver in the set is generally dedicated to connecting the keyboard and mouse supplied, but it is not compulsory to use both devices together. There is no guarantee that the receiver will work with other non-CHERRY mice in the same set, but this does not prevent you from using the keyboard alone with the receiver and another mouse via another receiver or another connection. In short, you can use the keyboard alone with the receiver supplied and keep your current mouse, provided it is compatible with your computer.

I have asked Cherry's customer support about this. It seems that you can order a replacement dongle from them. The keyboard and mouse (if bought in a bundle) must then be synchronised with the new dongle.

The part comes with its own dongle for the PC. Whether it is WiFi or BT is unfortunately not stated on the products.
