I bought the camera and have been using it for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, I have to say that the camera is almost unusable. The sensor hardly reacts at all. If I walk through the front during the day, I am recorded. Animals such as cats are usually not. At night, I have to wave my arms in front of the camera to be recognised. Animals are not registered at all. For comparison: I had a Dörr camera set up in the same position, which reacted to the slightest change. Has anyone had the same experience, or is the camera defective?

I also bought the camera and have been using it for a while now. My problem with it is that there is always a 5-second delay before it starts recording video after detecting movement. My understanding from the instructions and the setting options is that the time beforehand is reserved for taking one to five photos. Even if I set that no photos are to be taken and only video is to be recorded, the camera waits the 5 seconds. This means that the first 5 seconds are lost and then most of the passing animals are simply out of sight again... sigh. Does anyone know what can be done?

I have had the camera for a year and the video recording is triggered immediately after motion detection. I would perhaps reset the camera once (you need a paper clip, for example, to trigger the process at the bottom of the device). If that doesn't help, I would contact the manufacturer directly.

Does the camera need to be connected to WiFi or Bluetooth for it to work? I need this for in the garden, my WiFi connection doesn't reach that far

No, the camera does not need to be connected to WiFi or Bluetooth to take pictures in the garden. It works independently with a solar panel, rechargeable battery or AA batteries and saves everything on the SD card. WiFi and Bluetooth are only used for the app connection to your smartphone to change settings or retrieve files.

There is NO instruction booklet (or user manual) in the package, and this is a shortcoming! However, the CARUBA Raccoon is almost identical to the CEYOMUR CY95, both externally and internally, even the internal navigation menu, and it has French language. As I also have the CEYOMUR CY95, I based myself on the instructions in the CEYOMUR CY95 booklet.

When it was new, the price was only 169 Fr, then 6% discount, now the price has been raised to 179 Fr, then 12% discount, down to 159 Fr, the same as when it was 6% discount, the seller seems to be dishonest.
