No noise at all, I am totally satisfied with it.
Normally, Bose is known to always have spare parts in stock. Do you no longer have a warranty? Otherwise I would contact Bose directly by phone or WhatsApp.
Look on the Internet at https://www.bose.ch, then scroll all the way down to Contacts.

The problem is probably not with the Bose system but with the TV. If the TV is not sending an audio signal, the Bose speakers switch to standby. Try going into the TV's settings and under "Audio settings" you will most likely be able to control the headphone output. Greetings

Unfortunately, I don't have a direct comparison. However, I can warmly recommend this system. Full, rich sound with clear mids and highs.
A really great sound experience, especially at this price.

Take a look at the Amazon reviews, there are many who confirm the problem. I would answer the second question with "No, not noticeable".
Unfortunately, we are unable to obtain the desired controller individually :( We recommend contacting Bose support directly for this.

These boxes are intended for an ordinary jack socket headphone connection for PC or mobile phone. There is no intended possibility for Chinc, but this would be possible with an adapter at best. However, I do not see this as an optimal solution.
