can I use it to connect my Dell laptop to my IMac via HDMI to USB and have the laptop screen display live movies on the IMac?

I'm not quite sure but it would have a delay of about 5 seconds and you certainly don't want that.

Hello, I would like to connect my iPad Pro to the PC for streaming. I have an HDMI (out) adapter and need a way to send the signal (in) to the PC. It should work with the device but I want to be sure before I buy it? Thanks in advance Bonjour Est-ce que ce produit me permettra de relier mon iPadPro à mon PC pour du streaming? J'ai l'adaptateur pour la sortie HDMI, mais il me faut une entrée pour le PC. Je suppose que oui mais j'aimerais en être sûre avant de l'acheter. Merci

Does it also work for the Nintendo Switch?

Yes. It works with most consoles that come without HDCP. With some you can switch it off (e.g. PS4). With others you have to use an HDMI splitter (e.g. PS3). So far, I have only had problems with the Sony PSP (composite, reason unknown) and the Sega Dreamast (HDMI adapter, probably due to the VGA signal). Have fun!
