The compatibility of the board with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X is not guaranteed, as the board is primarily designed for Ryzen 2nd Gen processors. Compatibility with newer Ryzen 9 models may be possible with a BIOS update, but this should be checked before installation.
Yes, there is an M.2 slot for an SSD, the best SSD, which also lasts the longest because it offers excellent write performance, would be the Seageate FireCuda 530 series, e.g. this variant, which achieves total bytes written values of 2550 terabytes:

This does not apply to all B450s. I don't think PCIe 4.0 was enabled for this mainboard. PCIe 4.0 support was even explicitly removed with BIOS version 1816. Why not just a B550 board?

I bought the be quiet! Pure Rock (15.50cm). Not audible at low load. I can't say how it looks with a Ryzen 7 at full load. It also covers the RAM slots a bit, but once they're in, that's not a problem. I can definitely recommend it to you. Greetings

Unfortunately, the RAM is not listed in the manufacturer's QVL list. Therefore, 100% compatibility is not guaranteed.

The internet speed when using a PCI Express network card on the ASUS Prime B450-Plus motherboard will not necessarily be capped at 1 Gbit, but it depends on the specific network card you use.
- The motherboard has three PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, which can support network cards. However, these slots operate at PCIe 2.0 speeds, which is not the limiting factor for Gigabit Ethernet or even faster speeds since Ethernet speeds are typically limited by the Ethernet standard rather than the PCIe slot speed.
- If you use a Gigabit Ethernet network card, it will operate at up to 1 Gbps, which is the maximum speed of Gigabit Ethernet.
- If you use a faster network card, such as a 10 GbE card, it will still be limited by the PCIe 2.0 x1 slot's bandwidth, but this is usually not a bottleneck for Ethernet speeds up to 10 Gbps, as the network card's capabilities and the Ethernet standard itself are the primary limiting factors.

In order for your CPU to run, you first have to do a BIOS update. Fortunately, the board can do a crashfree BIOS, but unfortunately this is hardly described in the manual (chapter 2.1). However, there is a separate BIOS update manual that you can download.
The procedure is:
Download the BIOS, rename it with the enclosed EXE file (or manually), copy it to a stick and switch on the PC and wait...
Erasing the CMOS is described in the manual (short-circuit 2 pins).
