Yes, that is possible. However, it would then "only" run at 2933 MHz, since Ryzen does not directly support 3000 MHz.

As far as I have read, only the 2000 series may need a special update (also not sure), so this one should work without problems.
(By the way, the current BIOS from ASUS is currently at version 4011 (2018/04/27)).

Yes, the Corsair vengeance run with it and are also on the RAM compatibility list of the mainboard at ASUS. http://www.userbenchmark.com/System... is also the most common. However, they do not run with DDR4-3000 but with 2933, which is normal for Ryzen.

In UEFI, under Advanced -> Onboard Devices Configuration, there is a way to turn off the LEDs at shutdown.
