Hi all, Is it possible to define an OpenVPN (NordVPN) connection in the router to be seen being in Switzerland even if physically abroad? Thank you. MC

Hi MC, I've been using the ASUS AC53U for 10 months. I work remotely from Africa for a large Swiss company. I connect the VPN client to my NordVPN account (via OpenVPN). The setup is very easy and quick https://support.nordvpn.com/Connectivi... Then I connect to the company's VPN network via the Swiss NordVPN server. This VPN in VPN connection also works well, but requires a high bandwidth for the 4G connection to carry out Teams and Zoom video calls. Here in Africa I have a mobile network with download 60 Mbps / upload 30 Mbps. Let me know if you need any further help or information. Flo

My question is I can't get access to to half of the websites, as blocked by the firewall, which I disabled to try, but nothing changes. I have done the firmware update. Otherwise I can surf ... How can I simply set up the Asus 4G-AC53U router to have full access to the web?

I have now used the android software from Asus to set up the router, and it works fine. The software automatically adjusts and sets the router and the internet connection.

Unfortunately the router does not connect to the Salt (internet only) sim card. It recognises the card (displayed as Orange Prepaid) although it is Salt unlimited, but cannot make a connection. I have entered a password. It also shows sim card ready. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

I had the same problem. There is already an answer to this question from a customer: APN configuration: manual Location: others APN service: internet Dial-up number: - Username: - Password: - Authentication: PAP This applies to non-prepaid SIMs.
