The model delivered to me at the beginning of February still had BIOS 1.7 on it. The BIOS can only be flashed with a CPU. This meant that I had to order an older Ryzen 7 3xxx for flashing, which Digitec took back without any problems, minus the 10%.

This motherboard is good enough for gaming, especially if you combine it with a third- or fourth-generation Ryzen processor and an appropriate graphics card. It offers features such as multiple SATA ports, M.2 connectors and extensive USB connectivity, making it suitable for light to medium gaming use. However, for very demanding games, it may be necessary to optimise performance by adjusting the graphics settings or using a more powerful graphics card.

The AsRock B550M Pro4 motherboard is compatible with 4th generation Ryzen 5 processors, which includes the Ryzen 5 5600, but it's crucial to make sure the BIOS version is up to date to properly support the processor. For gaming with a Ryzen 5 5600, this motherboard should be sufficient, but check RAM compatibility and make sure the BIOS is updated to avoid any problems.

To compare the AsRock B550M Pro4 motherboard with the MSI B550 Gaming Gen3 for video games, here are a few key points: - Shape and size: the B550M Pro4 is a micro-ATX motherboard, while the MSI B550 Gaming Gen3 is an ATX board. This may influence the choice depending on the space available in the case. - Connectivity: The B550M Pro4 offers more USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, which can be useful for users with multiple peripherals. - Performance: Both cards support similar clock rates for memory, but the B550M Pro4 doesn't have a published specification for overclocked frequencies as high as some other AsRock cards. - Additional features: The MSI B550 Gaming Gen3 may offer more advanced gaming features, such as improved cooling capabilities or RGB customisation options, although this isn't explicitly mentioned in the available data. In short, the choice between these two cards will depend on your specific needs in terms of connectivity, size and gaming features.

I fixed this issue by force shutting down the computer. Start it up then cut the electric supply with the power up button on the back of the computer then on again. Somehow fixed it and work perfect since then. I saw that in some YouTube video about the card but do not have the source anymore.

Servus, yup works (but a BIOS/UEFI update is necessary before: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550M%20Pro4/index.asp#BIOS
Hello, Well, I must honestly admit that there were no problems with the boards I purchased. Although the current Bios version was not on it, and the CPU 5800X was not listed. So from my side an excellent board.
I don't think so, I bought it yesterday and the BIOS version is 1.00. Version 1.20 adds support for 5000 series so it needs a BIOS update first.
6 fans work (2cpu and 4 for the housing)
