I've had this lamp and a couple just like it for years. Great lamp when you could use the halogen bulbs it was originally designed for. Since removing halogen bulbs from the market and having to use LED bulbs, I haven't been able to find an LED bulb that provides the equivalent brightness or the ability to switch between the two brightness levels. The LED bulbs are much larger, so you have to remove the glass and "cram" the largest LED bulb that will fit the lamp bulb enclosure into the pin slots. That largest bulb is not as bright. Will probably replace the lamp because of this. Perhaps newer lamps are designed differently to use the newer LED bulbs?
I am basically not an expert and also only a "user" of the luminaire. However, I can confirm that the light source (halogen) always gets very hot. This is the case with every halogen lamp because it is a glowing wire. From my point of view, it is harmless. As I said, every light bulb gets very hot.
Yes, it really does not have a bulb. It is best to buy a G4 base LED with 12 volts, e.g. at Conrad Art. No. 1405088 SYGONIX LED G4 3W=30W WW STIFT Yours sincerely,,Urs Fehr
Just this one.
We could order the other colours separately from the supplier. However, the order would be binding and the item cannot be returned. If you would be interested in this offer, you can contact customer service and we would prepare a quote for you.
