I tried to connect the card to my computer (windows 10), and it is not detected by the computer. I have tried to connect the card to my computer (windows 10), and it is not detected by the computer, nor is it present in the device manager. After some googling, the problem could be that the usb cable provided is only for charging the card, not for transferring data and connecting to the computer. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible that the problem is with the cable. You have to test with another one to be sure.

The components are plugged into a plate. No need for a soldering iron. Take my answer with a grain of salt, because if you hook a soldering iron will soon become indispensable for projects.
