Yes. I would use a lamp tripod. Cheap and extendable.

That depends on the size of the product. For not too large objects up to the size of a small armchair, this should be possible. To get better illumination, it is probably advisable to use two lights or an additional indirect flash. With the latter combination, I managed to take very good photos of a toddler, for example. The gradual adjustment of brightness and colour temperature works very well.
