Yes, but the driver costs a little. http://www.trackpadmagic.com/magic-trackpad-2/download Forum from Apple (via Bluetooth should work but not all gestures are supported) http://www.apple.com/ch-de/shop/question/answers/readonly/kann-man-das-magic-trackpad-auch-mit-einem-windows-pc-nutzen/Q42TJUUHU4P79UYC4?fnode=56 As an alternative the trackpad from Logitech ? http://www.logitech.com/de-ch/product/touchpad-t650
They have the same manufacturer and item number. There is no difference.
This should work if your MacBook is not too old. The only prerequisite that Apple itself mentions is that Bluetooth version 4.0 is on board the Apple device. I found the following list on a MacWorld article: iMac (Mid-2007 or later) MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later) MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later) MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later) Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later) Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later) Xserve (Early 2009) All models newer than these are guaranteed to work. Even older models will not work.
We thank you for your comment and have informed the department responsible.
The trackpad 2 is flat and, above all, it no longer has the Gumley feet for the mouse click, which were constantly breaking. Furthermore, the trackpad 2 has an integrated battery and lightning charging port. It has absolutely nothing to do with magic.
Of course! But it is designed for Apple PCs. It's like a notebook, where you can also operate the mouse with the touchpad. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it works really well. There are paid drivers for Windows devices, I don't know how good the support for the trackpad is, I've only used the Magic Mouse under Windows.
Just quite complete - mfg
I currently use it daily, also under Windows 10, but only under Bootcamp and Parallels on the Mac. I don't know it in pure Windows. But it will probably behave similarly, except that it might not run at all without driver installation with optional software to configure it, I have left out the configuration software so far because it is chargeable. For me under Bootcamp and Parallels it worked so far. Many gestures work like on a Mac, like zooming, scrolling, right-clicking with 2 fingers, etc. With the configuration tool, everything could simply be fine-tuned.
The corresponding trackpad is now available at the following link: Apple Magic Trackpad 2 - Space Grey (Wireless)
