The IPhone 16 Pro Max takes great photos. To your question the IPhone 16 Pro Max has 2 48 MP cameras. The normal one has 48 MP and the wide angle one has 12 but I say you rarely zoom in far.
To your question about the aperture, cameras or lenses with high resolutions and small apertures are very expensive and I think that's why the aperture is higher.
And the MP are important but the size of the sensor (where the MP are on it) is more important so the IPhone usually takes nicer pictures because the MP are not as crowded as with Samsung it doesn't do you any good to have 200 MP but you can't arrange them nicely.

They do but they say it will arrive from the 27th of November. I ordered mine on Apple for the original price of CHF 49.- and it arrives on Friday 13th. At least that’s what Apple says.
