That is also correct. Screens should always be operated in the nominal resolution, the size of the display must be set via the operating system (zoom). 1920x1080 is displayed because this is exactly half of the maximum resolution (height and width) and this resolution can be displayed by the monitor without loss of quality. Anything in between cannot be calculated by the monitor down to the pixel, it doesn't add up, the result would be blurring in the image. I don't know Mac, so I can't tell you where you can adjust the display size. With Windows, you adjust the zoom in the Control Panel - Display and then "Scaling and Arrangement". I also use this monitor and have set the display size exactly the same. However, the screen runs at 3840x2160.
