No, it does not work in Switzerland. You have to create an account on Amazon Italia to get the Italian language.

The weather is available & I listen to the news via the SRF Skill from Alexa. I have a German account and am quite happy with it, despite some small limitations :)

You don't need a jailbreak for this, but what you do need is a second apple id where you select a country as the location that the app has in the store. this means you can select any Mcdonalds in Germany and use their address when creating the appleid.

If u use Android u have to download the alexa app from a website and not the playstore and just use your UK Amazon Account with an UK Address. You can various Forums and Tutorial how to use Alexa in Switzerland just search the web
