This waterproof temperature sensor features a DS18B20 sensor chip with 1-Wire communication. The DS18B20 is a digital temperature sensor housed in a TO92 package. The sensor is highly accurate and reliable, as it has been factory calibrated. To interface it with an Arduino, you can use the DallasTemperature library. You only need one input on your Arduino to read the DS18B20. Multiple sensors can also be connected to a single input. For the sensor to operate, you will need a 4.7 kOhm resistor, which should be connected between VCC and Data. For example, if you use five sensors on the same input, you only need one resistor.
Important: A 4.7 kOhm resistor must be connected between Red and Yellow.
