Product details

The Nova Fitness PM2.5 SDS011 fine dust sensor operates on the principle of light scattering and can measure particle concentration in the air between 0.3 μm and 10 μm. The sensor features a serial output for communication. A USB-serial adapter is included, allowing you to read the sensor data directly on your PC. The lifespan in continuous operation is only one year, so it is recommended to turn it on only for measurements and then switch back to standby mode, which can extend the lifespan to approximately 8 years. Build your own fine dust sensor and contribute your measurement data to Luftdaten.info, thus supporting this project and helping us create a more comprehensive fine dust pollution map here in Switzerland. No programming skills are required, and there is a very detailed assembly guide available at Luftdaten.info.
