Product details

The advantage compared to a regular potentiometer is that the encoder can be rotated endlessly in one direction. With a potentiometer, a maximum value is eventually reached. This encoder module can also differentiate whether it is being turned left or right. Additionally, the breakout board features a button that is activated by pressing the encoder. This module is perfect for navigating menus. It can also be excellently used to control and move motors, similar to a handwheel on CNC machines.
