The ESP32 Wemos MiniKit is the successor to the Wemos D1 Mini ESP8266. This microcontroller offers not only WiFi but also Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE, along with more IO pins and improved analog inputs. The ESP32 can be programmed using Arduino, but it must be integrated first. We recommend the ESP32 only for advanced users, as it is not yet supported by all Arduino libraries. In addition to the WiFi/BLE SoC, the ESP32 Wemos MiniKit includes a CP2104 that converts USB to serial, allowing your computer to communicate with the microcontroller. Thanks to its compact design, the ESP32 Wemos MiniKit can be plugged directly into a breadboard, and jumper wires can be connected on both sides. Note: This only works if only the inner pin headers are soldered. Once all pin headers are soldered, the ESP32 can no longer be plugged into a breadboard.
