The DRV8825 is a driver for stepper motors up to 2A. The driver also supports micro stepping with which you can drive very fine and low-vibration movements. The driver is perfectly suited for RAMPS 1.4 boards. These are used in 3-D printers. You can also use it for other mechanical Arduino projects where you want to control stepper motors. It comes with an aluminium heat sink that you can glue on. When gluing it on, make sure that you do not cause a short circuit. The DRV8825 module has a pinout and interface that is almost identical to the predecessor A4988 and can therefore be easily replaced.
