Pro-Ject Tube Box S2

The Tube Box S2 is our first product that features a fully discrete design and operates without any operational amplifiers (OpAmps). It is also the first product that allows users to swap the installed tubes, enabling them to shape the sound according to their personal preferences with different tubes. The Tube Box S2 delivers an exceptionally relaxing sound with rich mids, typically found only in much more expensive tube preamps. Both MM systems and MC cartridges can be connected, with a variety of gain stages selectable from the front. Five variable input impedances are available to adapt to any system; the 47 kOhm setting is fixed and suitable for high output MC cartridges. The aluminum/metal housing is visually aligned with that of the DS2 series and effectively protects against vibrations and electromagnetic interference, ensuring a clear sound. A true high-end solution in a much smaller format.
