PowerGuard PCIe 4.0 x16 to 4x M.2 NVMe SSD Adapter Card with 4 Thermal Pads

With this PCIe 4.0 x16 adapter card, you can expand your desktop PC or server with up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs. It is ideal for high-performance storage solutions, large amounts of data, virtualization, workstations, and NAS systems. The adapter card supports M.2 NVMe SSDs in the 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factors and uses a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface for maximum data bandwidth. It is also backward compatible with PCIe 3.0.

For simultaneous operation of all four SSDs, the motherboard must support PCIe bifurcation (x4/x4/x4/x4). Without this feature, usually only the first M.2 slot is recognized.

Four SSDs only work on motherboards that support PCIe bifurcation (x4/x4/x4/x4). Note: For simultaneous operation of up to four SSDs, the motherboard must support PCIe bifurcation (PCIe lane splitting). Depending on the motherboard, this feature may need to be enabled in the BIOS/UEFI first. The corresponding setting is often found under PCIe Configuration, PCIe Slot Configuration, PCIe Bifurcation, or Lane Configuration and must be set to x4/x4/x4/x4. Without PCIe bifurcation, usually only the first M.2 slot (SSD1) is recognized.

Four thermal pads included – The thermal pads are placed between the SSD and the adapter board. This transfers the heat from the SSD to the large copper layer of the PCIe card, which improves heat dissipation and supports more stable performance under high load.
