The PBS-Vario uses a MEMS pressure sensor of the latest generation, and can therefore measure height differences of 10cm precisely. Thanks to a digital filter developed by PowerBox-Systems, the measured values are completely free of noise and delay. Both are important prerequisites for a precise vario function. In addition to the climb rate in m/s, the PBS vario also measures the relative altitude (from the starting point) with a resolution of 0.1m, and the temperature in the sensor. Due to the very compact design of just 40 x 10 x 4mm, the PBS-Vario finds space even in the smallest glider fuselages. The PBS-Vario can be used for PowerBox CORE, Jeti EXBUS and Futaba S.BUS2.
