PMA KS 42-1 temperature controller. The universal temperature controller KS 42-1 is designed for universal, precise, and cost-effective control tasks in all industries. The device offers a simple 2-point (On/Off) control, continuous PID control, or 3-point step control. The process value signal is connected via a universal input. An additional analog input can be used for measuring the heating current or as an external setpoint input. The KS 42-1 features three process inputs, which can be either 3 relays or 2 relays plus one universal output. This universal output can be used to control a solid-state relay, a continuous current/voltage output, or to power a two-wire transmitter. This controller is particularly well-suited for the following industrial applications: ovens and stoves, burners and boilers, plastic processing, and dryers. It includes a front interface and control software, a maintenance manager and error list, an automatic/manual button, monitoring of the heating current and input circuit, a timer and programmer, as well as an advanced limit signal function with locking. It is type-tested according to EN 14597 (replacing DIN 3440), cULus, and GL.
