Pixelstick light stick for light painting
VariousProduct details
With the Pixelstick, you can create cool, exciting, and interesting long-exposure shots. It consists of 200 colored LEDs housed in a 1.8-meter-long aluminum casing. The integrated controller reads images stored on an SD card and then displays them on the LEDs. When you move the Pixelstick in front of a camera taking long-exposure shots, you "paint" the image or pattern directly into the capture.
All you need is the Pixelstick, a camera with a long-exposure mode, and an SD card with the images you want to incorporate into your shots. Select the image that the Pixelstick should display, and you're ready to go—just move the Pixelstick in front of the camera to paint patterns and images into the shot. The best part: there is no right or wrong in light painting, so feel free to experiment.
You can also create animations with the Pixelstick. Simply load each frame of the animation onto the SD card and then take a separate long-exposure shot for each frame. You can then combine the individual long-exposure shots in a suitable program to create exciting videos and time-lapse recordings. Your imagination knows no bounds.
The Pixelstick features a handle mounted in the center, providing an extra reach of 38 cm. The handle is also equipped with a swivel angle, allowing the Pixelstick to rotate freely—enabling smooth movements while photographing.
Power is supplied by eight rechargeable AA batteries, which provide enough energy to shoot for several nights without needing to recharge.
