Technology:

• UDIMM ECC 4GB RAM: 12 modules, 48GB
• RDIMM 16GB RAM: 18 modules, 288GB
• RDIMM 32GB RAM: 12 modules, 384GB

UDIMM ECC memory and RDIMM (Registered) server memory cannot be used together. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already installed or upgrade completely to RDIMM memory.

Memory Installation Principles:

• Memory slots are organized in groups of three.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for UDIMM ECC memory.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for 4Rank RDIMM memory.
• The different groups of three slots do not need to have the same capacities.
• Only the memory slots corresponding to the installed CPUs can be used.

Memory Installation for Optimal System Performance:

• Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and CPUs.
• With three identical memory modules per group of three slots, performance can be up to three times faster compared to filling the group with just one memory module.
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be installed identically (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
