Information on memory configuration: Our memory team is happy to assist you in choosing the right RAM and configuring your server. The following technical details should be considered in advance: Each CPU supports 6 DIMMs per memory channel. Two memory modules are used per memory channel. You can use RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. LRDIMM memory is particularly recommended when large memory capacities are required. Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules should not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already installed or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. Memory slots without a processor present should not be populated. Higher memory frequencies may adjust to other memory clock rates in the system environment and thus support correspondingly slower clock rates.
