- LRDIMM: 1.5TB RAM (2 x 12 x 64GB LRDIMM)
Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade completely to RDIMM memory.
Principles of memory configuration:
- There are 4 memory channels per CPU, each with 2 memory slots.
- Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed.
- Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated.
Memory configuration for good system performance:
Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs. If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be configured identically (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
