Information about memory configuration: Our memory team is happy to assist you in choosing the right RAM and configuring your server. The following technical details should be considered in advance:

• There are 12 memory slots, divided into 6 memory channels.
• MacPro7,1 with 24-Core and 28-Core CPUs support up to 12 x 128GB = 1.5TB RAM.
• MacPro7,1 with 8-Core and 12-Core CPUs support up to 12 x 64GB or 6 x 128GB = 768GB RAM.
• You can use RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. LRDIMM memory is particularly recommended when large memory capacities are needed.
• Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory.
• Higher memory frequencies may adapt to other memory clock rates in the system environment and support correspondingly slower clock rates.
