Phobya Shroud decoupling 120mm (7mm thick)

The shroud enhances the cooling performance of your fan-radiator combination. Installed between the fan and the radiator, it allows the air to distribute in the pre-chamber, thus better flowing through the entire cooling surface of the radiator. When a fan is mounted directly on the radiator, the fan motor creates a dead zone behind it, where the radiator surface remains unused and cannot contribute to cooling. Multiple shrouds can also be connected in series using longer screws, which further improves the efficiency of the fan. The chosen material achieves a greater seal between the radiator and the fan, directing the airflow more effectively towards its intended target.

Noise level: The material, a hard rubber with a thickness of 7 mm, separates the fan from the housing. The vibration-free suspension is particularly essential for high-speed fans, as their inherent vibrations can cause parts of the housing to move, which can become very loud over time. It also prevents rattling of the fan on the mounted component.
