Product details
Enjoy pure user-friendliness with the cordless Philips phone XL495, which features an extra-large display and large buttons, a handy handset, and useful functions such as an answering machine, volume boost, compatibility with hearing aids, and the ability to store multiple phonebook entries.
Enhanced privacy settings: blacklist, silent mode, call barring.
The blacklist restricts incoming calls from specific numbers or numbers that start with certain digits. You can block four digit sequences, each containing between 1 and 24 digits. If a call comes in that starts with one of the blocked numbers or is from one of the four callers, the phone will not ring. The silent mode allows you to disable ringtones at specific times. Thanks to call barring, you can avoid expensive surprises on your phone bill by blocking calls to specific numbers or numbers that start with a certain digit sequence. Anonymous calls restrict calls with withheld numbers. The phone will not ring.
Do you sometimes wish a caller would speak a little louder? With the one-touch volume boost, you can instantly increase the volume by more than 12 dB at the earpiece and more than 8 dB when using the hands-free function. From now on, you can understand every word loud and clear. No more misunderstandings. Users are advised not to hold the handset too close to the ear when the volume boost button is pressed. After ending the call, the volume will return to normal levels.
