The smc Pentax-D FA Macro 100 mm F2.8 WR is the dust- and splash-proof version of its classic predecessor. With a focal length of 100 mm at an image field of up to 24 x 36 mm, small creatures such as insects or detailed shots of animals and plants can be imaged in brilliant 1:1 quality even from a greater distance.
Ideally suited for outdoor use. With the special seals typical of the WR series, the housing, which is made of extra-light aluminum, offers optimum protection against moisture penetration caused by mist, rain or splash water, as well as against sand and dust. The dirt-repellent and easy-to-clean Super Protect front lens coating also prevents soiling by grease, fingerprints or even makeup.
Fine bokeh with 8 aperture blades. The lens is composed of 9 lens elements in 8 groups. The smallest aperture is 32 and is formed by 8 lamellae. The particularly fine bokeh is outstanding: the subject is highlighted razor-sharp, while the image background is blurred very evenly and naturally.
Suitable for digital and analog cameras. The macro lens is suitable for both digital and analog PENTAX SLR cameras. For analog cameras, however, please note that only cameras with internal aperture control can be used, as this lens is not equipped with an aperture ring.
The macro lens convinces with a low image field curvature, uniform sharpness over the entire image field as well as low distortion. It is particularly suitable for imaging small objects as faithfully as possible up to a scale of 1:1. It allows you to get very close to an object without blurring the image. This allows you to take impressive close-ups with a high level of detail.
