The cable finder PCE-191 CB detects live cables or wires in walls and cable ducts. The cable finder / line finder PCE-191 CB is designed to locate electrical cables / wires that are installed behind walls. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter has a Schuko plug that is inserted into a live socket (max. 240V AC) and sends an audio signal into the live wire. The receiver can then trace the concealed cable up to the circuit breaker. If the receiver encounters a cable interruption, the acoustic signal will stop. The cable finder / line finder is the ideal tool for locating cables, for example, when you want to drill holes in walls and are unsure if there are cables running at the drilling location. The same applies when hammering in nails, for instance, to hang a picture. Locating unlabeled circuit breakers in the home electrical distribution is also very easy with this line finder. Simply plug the transmitter into a socket of the corresponding circuit and use the receiver in the distribution to find the correct breaker. For all these checks, the electrical lines do not need to be de-energized.
