The DMW-BGG9 battery grip allows for the use of an additional (optional) battery, effectively doubling the recording time of the G9. The grip also makes it easier to hold the camera for portrait shots and features not only a shutter release but also a joystick, two control dials, and function buttons. Additionally, it has a very robust design and is dust and splash resistant.
