The Palmer Monicon® L is a precise analog volume controller that connects between a computer or audio interface and active monitor speakers. The circuitry is completely passive and free of coloration, while the LED indicators and the built-in headphone amplifier are powered by the included power supply.

Symmetrical combo jacks serve as the stereo input, and the AUX input of the Monicon® L features RCA jacks and a 3.5 mm stereo jack. The compact unit offers outputs for two pairs of monitors and a mono sum output via XLR jacks. The stereo or AUX input can alternatively be selected, and the two outputs can be chosen individually or together. In addition to the large volume control, the Monicon® L is equipped with mono, mute, and PFL switches, a 6.35 mm headphone output, as well as separate AUX and headphone controls for comfortable operation.
