Olympus FL-700WR

The compact and lightweight flash FL-700WR, with a maximum guide number of 42 (ISO 100/m), is dust and splash resistant as well as frost-proof. It is perfect for use with the new OM-D E-M1X and M.Zuiko PRO lenses. After just 1.5 seconds of charging time, full flash power can be accessed. Due to the short charging time, continuous flash shots at 10 frames per second are possible. The new Olympus flash unit supports wireless radio communication, allowing use in very bright light and in environments with obstacles. Precise communication is ensured up to a distance of 30 meters—even when the flash is positioned behind the subject. The FL-700WR can be used as a control unit and flash with a built-in receiver. As a control unit, it can connect with three flash groups and an unlimited number of flash units. Photographers can choose which group to trigger and can configure the flash intensity. In the conventional RC mode (optical communication), the FL-700WR can be used as a slave flash. The multi-flash mode allows the expression of movement in the subject through multiple triggers during long exposure times or time-lapse shots. Intensity, interval (frequency), and the number of shots can be configured to perfectly match the subject. Functions such as High-Res Shot, Focus Stacking, and Focus Bracketing, available on models like the OM-D E-M1X and OM-D E-M1 Mark II, can of course be used with this flash unit.
