The Nuvo Toot 2.0 is the sister instrument of the Dood. The set includes the Nuvo Firstnote mouthpiece, which can be used in the initial lessons while the student learns posture, fingering, and how to play simple melodies. Once the Firstnote is mastered, it can be replaced with the regular mouthpiece, which is also included. Together, the Toot and Dood can bring a whole new sound to the recorder ensemble and provide younger children with the opportunity to learn essential woodwind skills early on. Under WindStars, you will find many pieces of music that can be played with the Toot and Dood. It is the next step from the recorder to flute playing. The Firstnote mouthpiece helps the student get started, while a standard mouthpiece aids in learning the correct flute embouchure. Silicone pads support small fingers. In the key of C and fully chromatic, it plays over 1.5 octaves.
