Product details
The Nowsonic Switcher is a controller designed to connect a stereo audio source and to control the output of this source to connected monitoring systems such as the Nowsonic RadioCheck active monitor. This multifunctional switcher is entirely passive, meaning that the sound of the input signal is not altered or distorted by active components. The output signal of the switcher is identical to the input signal, although it can be attenuated in volume. Consequently, you can optimally adjust the audio source in your studio control room or at an editing station without having to consider the working level in the subsequent monitoring path.
The switcher features balanced combo inputs for connecting balanced or unbalanced XLR or 6.35 mm TRS jacks. The two output pairs to the following active monitors or headphone amplifiers are also provided as XLR and 6.35 mm TRS jacks. A selector switch allows for A/B comparison between the connected monitoring systems. The central volume control of the switcher also serves as a mute switch for both output pairs. The compact tabletop housing is made of metal and can be placed anywhere in the workspace. An external power supply is not required due to the passive design.
