Normann Copenhagen Pix
E27Product details
The Pix Lamp is a reinterpretation of the archetypal spherical pendant light. The recognizable, timeless silhouette has been utilized in the design of the Pix Lamp, while the captivating surface of the lamp gives it a unique appearance through the composition of recycled plastic waste. The Pix Lamp is not only an aesthetic design but also an inventive one. For the production of the lampshade, plastic waste in various shades of white is mixed and granulated before being heated to a melting point of 120°C, allowing the material to be reheated and reused at the end of its life cycle without altering its properties. This special process enables a circular life cycle and offers a design where each lampshade has its own unique color composition. The thickness of the material makes the Pix Lamp appear opaque when the light is off. When the light is turned on, the appearance of the material changes, becoming transparent, allowing the light from the bulb to shine through and highlighting the grainy structure of the lampshade. Wherever the Pix Lamp is placed, its simple design language adapts to the surroundings, while its distinctive lampshade emits a cozy, charismatic light.
