The SecuFirm2 Mounting Upgrade Kit NM-i17xx-MP78 allows Noctua CPU coolers with a 78 mm mounting distance to be retrofitted for Intel's LGA1700 platform. In the best SecuFirm2 tradition, the NM-i17xx-MP78 combines excellent reliability, optimal pressure contact, and easy installation, enabling Noctua coolers to be reused on Intel's latest Core processors.
Note: This mounting upgrade kit allows Noctua coolers designed for other sockets to be mounted on LGA1700 hardware. Since the height specifications of LGA17xx differ from those of other sockets, it is essential to ensure that your cooler and LGA17xx motherboard are fully compatible before installation. Please consult our compatibility database to confirm that your motherboard and cooler are fully compatible. Noctua cannot accept any liability for damages caused by compatibility issues.
Please note that the NM-i17xx-MP78 set is only compatible with coolers that have a mounting distance of 78 mm, and for coolers with an 83 mm mounting distance, the NM-i17xx-MP83 set must be used. With the NM-i17xx-MP78, Noctua continues its tradition of providing customers with new SecuFirm2 mounting sets free of charge. Owners of eligible cooler models can obtain the NM-i17xx-MP78 set through a corresponding form. A proof of purchase for an eligible Noctua CPU cooler and an LGA1700 motherboard or LGA1700 CPU is required for the order. Depending on the destination country, a paid express shipping option may be available.
