Three nations are fighting for control over the dwindling resources of salt and iron in Square Enix's latest HD-2D adventure. Take command of a group of warriors as Serenoa, heir of House Wolffort, in a convoluted storyline where your choices make a crucial difference. The important decisions you make strengthen one of three convictions – Utility, Morality, Freedom – which together form Serenoa's worldview and influence how the story unfolds. When faced with truly significant choices, multiple characters will cast their votes on the scales of conviction. In these moments, the allies and decisions you make can determine the fate of entire nations and the continent of Norzelia itself.

Control multi-layered battlefields to strategically secure victory. Finding the best position in turn-based combat can tilt the course of battle in your favor. Position units on higher terrain to take control of the battlefield and gain an advantage with increased range. You can also surround enemies from both sides and then strike from behind for a powerful counterattack. Elemental chain reactions are also a crucial part of combat. For example, you can use fire to melt icy terrain and then use lightning to electrify it. Push the enemy into the electrified water to see sparks fly in stunning HD-2D visuals.
