A New Dimension of Kart Racing

The latest installment of the popular Mario Kart series brings racing fun from the Mushroom Kingdom to glorious 3D. For the first time, drivers explore new competitive kart options, such as gliding through the sky or diving into the depths of the sea. New tracks, strategic new abilities, and customizable karts elevate the racing excitement to new heights.

The Mario Kart series continues to evolve. New kart abilities contribute to the wild fun that the games are known for. During big jumps, a kart unfurls a wing to glide over shortcuts on the track. Underwater, a propeller emerges to help the kart glide along the ocean floor.

Players can showcase their own style by customizing their vehicles with accessories that provide a competitive edge. For example, large tires help a kart drive off-road, while smaller tires accelerate quickly on paved tracks.

Players can choose to race as one of their favorite characters from the Mushroom Kingdom or even as their Mii character.

New tracks take players on wild rides over mountains, through city streets, and across a dusty desert. Nintendo fans will recognize new tracks on Wuhu Island and in the jungles from Donkey Kong Country Returns.

The game supports both SpotPass and StreetPass features.

Players can compete in local wireless matches or online via a broadband internet connection.
