Product details
The NPort 6450 is a device server with four ports that uses SSL and SSH protocols to transmit encrypted serial data over Ethernet. You can connect up to four serial devices of any type to the NPort 6450, with all four devices sharing the same IP address. The Ethernet port can be configured for either a standard or secure TCP/IP connection. The NPort 6450 is a reliable device server that provides users with a secure way to transmit serial data over Ethernet and a customer-oriented hardware design. If the Ethernet connection fails, the NPort 6450 stores all serial data in its internal 64 KB port buffer. Once the Ethernet connection is restored, the NPort 6450 immediately transmits all data from the buffer in the order it was received. Users can increase the size of the port buffer by installing an SD card.
