Moxa NPORT 5110 W/O ADAPTER - 1-port RS-232 device server without adapter, 0 to 55C operating temperature
Product details
NPort® 5100 Device Servers are designed to quickly network-enable serial devices. Due to their compact size, the servers are ideal for connecting devices such as card readers and payment terminals to an IP-based Ethernet LAN. Use the NPort 5100 Device Servers to provide your PC software with direct access to serial devices from any point in the network.
Most Cost-Effective Serial-to-Ethernet Solution
Using serial device servers to connect older serial devices to Ethernet is common today, and users expect device servers to be cost-effective while offering a wide range of useful features. With full support for Microsoft and Linux operating systems, the NPort® 5100 is the best choice for serial-to-Ethernet converters.
Adjustable Termination and Pull-High/Low Resistors
In some critical environments, termination resistors may be necessary to prevent the reflection of serial signals. When using termination resistors, it is also important to properly set the pull-high/low resistors to ensure that the electrical signal is not distorted. Since there is no set of resistor values that is universally compatible with all environments, the NPort® 5100 Device Servers come with jumpers that allow the values for termination and pull-high/low resistors to be adjusted for each serial port.
Standard TCP/IP Interface and Wide Range of Operating Modes
The NPort® 5100 Device Servers can be configured for TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server/Client, Pair Connection, or Ethernet Modem mode, ensuring compatibility with software based on a standard network API (e.g., Winsock or BSD Sockets).
