MKP motor capacitors

Hydra motor capacitors with pressure relief switch MKP-Si technology series 500. Safety: Capacitors may fail under extreme operating conditions or after reaching their lifespan. Hydra motor capacitors are manufactured with an integrated pressure relief switch. In the event of failure, an increase in pressure occurs within the capacitor due to gas formation and rising temperature. This causes the casing to extend by up to 9 mm due to the stretching of the fold seam, thereby interrupting the supply line at the designated breaking point. The capacitor is safely disconnected from the power supply. Hydra capacitors are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute and comply with the safety class P2 requirements according to EN 60252. Installation: Hydra motor capacitors can be mounted vertically or horizontally. To ensure proper triggering of the pressure rupture safety device due to the thermal expansion of the capacitor casing, a minimum distance of approximately 12 mm from the terminal to adjacent components must be observed. Construction: Metallized polypropylene aluminum housing with/without metal studs, environmentally friendly filling material (plant oil).
