Die fiktive Traumbrille der c?t-Tester hätte das Raum-Tracking der HTC Vive, die Display-Auflösung, Farbabstimmung, Kopfhörer und Hand-Controller der Oculus Rift und den Tragekomfort, den fast unsichtbaren Fliegengitter-Effekt und den günstigen Preis der Playstation VR. Leider gibt es so ein Headset nicht; potenzielle Käufer müssen also Prioritäten setzen ?...
Wenn man schon einmal in die vereinnahmenden Roomscale-Spiele der HTC Vive abgetaucht ist, wirkt der Test des Oculus Rift nicht mehr ganz so beeindruckend. Schade, dass Oculus seine vielversprechenden Bewegungscontroller ?Touch? nicht von Anfang an mit dem Gerät ausliefert. Trotzdem sorgt auch das Spielen vorm Schreibtisch für eine schöne Immersion...
Der Eintrittspreis zu den virtuellen Welten ist mit mindestens 750 Euro hoch und steigt noch weiter, wenn man sich nicht an den offiziellen, sondern an den Ebay-Preisen der Systeme orientiert. Aber wenn man bereit ist, diesen Preis zu bezahlen, stellt sich immer noch die Frage, zu welchem der beiden Produkte man greifen soll...
Überraschend schnell ist die Rift installiert. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, zwei eingebaute Kopfhörer verhindern Kabelsalat. Der Spieler wird zuverlässig erkannt, er kann sich aber nicht wie mit der Vive frei im Raum bewegen. Im Vergleich schlägt sich die günstigere Rift achtbar, für ein echtes VR-Gefühl fehlen noch Controller mit Bewegungserkennung.
