Product details
The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a central bass note in the middle, which is surrounded by eight other notes. These eight tone fields consist of two reeds each, which reproduce the tone in two octaves. This creates a wonderful, meditative sound similar to that of a handpan. At the bottom of the drum is the sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone plug to make the sound even more compact. There are also three silicone feet on the bottom to prevent the drum from slipping. You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or, if you wish, with your fingers. Simply place the drum on a flat surface or on your lap to start playing.
Included are two wooden mallets with rubber heads and a nice carrying bag with zipper and handle.
One bass note plus eight additional octave notes.
